The Ambassador Committee is one of the most active and visible committees within the Chamber. Ambassadors are Chamber representatives dedicated to recruiting new members and helping existing ones maximize their membership benefits by sharing their knowledge and experience with other chamber members. Joining this exclusive group of business professionals will increase your visibility and serve as a starting point for future roles in Chamber leadership. Ambassadors play a vital role in member retention, recruitment and communication. Each Ambassador makes a commitment to the Chamber to attend and volunteer at events, and work with new members to mentor them into active chamber members. Ambassadors serve a two year term and may reapply.
Qualities of an Ambassador
Individuals who make successful Ambassadors believe in and support the efforts of the Chamber. They are an enthusiastic, outgoing personality, possess good organizational skills, and are dependable and honest person. They are able to balance the necessary time commitment of the committee with the demands of their job. They enjoy meeting people, possess a positive attitude and are professional business leaders. Ambassadors are sociable, strong contributors to any group and enjoy spending time with other professionals.
Ambassador Responsibilities
- Attend Chamber meetings, ribbon cuttings, business after-hours and other events
- Make calls on existing Chamber members encouraging their participation in Chamber activities
- Understand Chamber benefits and purpose
- Help members maximize their member benefits
- Serve as greeters and volunteers at Chamber functions
- Assist in recruiting new members
- Facilitate networking, approach members and make introductions
- Attend quarterly meetings following New Member Orientations
- Provide member feedback to the Chamber Board and staff
- Wear Ambassador name tag at all Chamber Events
- Read Chamber emails and newsletter to be up to date on Chamber news and events

If you cannot meet these responsibilities, or your status as Chamber member changes, you will be asked to resign as an Ambassador.
