Functions: The Slide Attendant is responsible for operating the water slides to meet the demands of the general public. The Slide Attendant is required to participate in weekly and daily training to demonstrate knowledge or ability to perform work activities.
Supervisors: Aquatic Supervisor and Pool Manager.
Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age.
Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions
Responsible for operating the top of the water slides.
Enforces water slide rules to ensure the safety of patrons.
Ensures the safety of the patrons by enforcing the rules of the facility.
Sanitize pool deck and facility as assigned by the pool manager.
Ensures that patrons are staying to their assigned pool section.
Psychological Considerations:
The Slide Attendant must work closely with co-workers.
The Slide Attendant must work around the general population.
The Slide Attendant has responsibility for the safety of all patrons while at the facility.
The Slide Attendant must work under the supervision and direction of supervisors.
The Slide Attendant must be able to make decisions to ensure safety in the facility.
Physiological Considerations:
The Slide Attendant works in a climate of 68 degrees Fahrenheit and higher with sometimes high humidity.
The Slide Attendant must be able to respond quickly and accurately.
Environmental Considerations:
The Slide Attendant will be exposed to the weather conditions which can include cold, rain, and extreme heat and humidity.
Cognitive Considerations
The Slide Attendant must be able to follow directions from supervisors and co-workers.
The Slide Attendant must be able to give directions to patrons while at the facility.
The Slide Attendant must use good safety awareness and judgment. The considerations as listed above are not to be construed as a complete and/or limiting list.
Work Hours and Compensation: A Slide Attendant is a part time seasonal employee working 0-40 hours per week. Work shifts are variable with an average of 5.5 hours a day. These hours may be as long as 8 hours, but there are extended breaks within this period. The pay range for this position is $15-$17/hr.
